FULL TIME: Burnside have secured back-to-back Premier Grade titles with Woodville taking the women's competition and Brighton sweeping Reserves and Thirds.

Catch up on all the action below!

10:00 - Third Grade (Brighton v Burnside)

Brighton have taken out the Third Grade title with a thrilling 20-10 win over Burnside.

The Double Blues led early but couldn't contain the minor premiers, who stormed back with tries to Logan Stevens, Lachlan Ash, Kai WIlson and Cameron Garforth.

Burnside duo Theo Ashley and Damon Fidge touched down in a losing side.

11:50 - Women (Woodville v Southern Suburbs)

Woodville have iced their 2024 season in spectacular fashion, running out 33-12 victors over Southern Suburbs to clinch a long-awaited title.

The Wasps wreaked havoc in attack, stinging Souths with five tries to two, while Victoria Cousins accurate goalkicking helped snuff any late resistance.

Brooke McHugh, Jaimee Mataira, Tia Mataira, Ana Ikahihifo and Naomi Cacau all finished with meat pies while South duo Frances Afeaki and Emma Yates also found the chalk.

The win ends a two-year streak for Souths and breaks Woodville's drought for women's silverware.

13:40 - Reserve Grade (Old Collegians v Brighton)

Brighton have secured the Reserve Grade title after outmuscling Old Collegians 24-18.

Robert Ferguson, Rhy Fishwick, Ross Lacey and Cam Field all crossed for the Tigers while Kurt McKinley scored the lions share for Old Colls with 13 points.

15:40 - Premier Grade (Burnside v Old Collegians)

Burnside have stormed to successive Premier Grade titles with a 35-18 win over Old Collegians in the big dance.

Old Colls scored the first two tries through Ryan Barlow and Liam McDonough and trailed by just four points heading into the final quarter after Maxwell Monfries' 68th minute try.

But Burnside's killer instinct late in the halves proved key with Max Hodell and Ed Wilkes crossing in the shadows of half time before Keanu Eliepa and Kai Rahui twisted the knife late.

Freeman Eder's goalkicking also came to the fore with a 15-point haul securing back-to-back titles for Burnside.

EARLIER: Burnside are flying high off the back of their 40-33 qualifying final win while Old Colls showed they’ll be no easy beats after grinding out a 25-17 elimination final win over the Tigers last weekend.

Burnside coach TJ Maualaivao says his side are “confident” and “ready” to defend their Premier Grade crown come Saturday afternoon’s blockbuster at AA Bailey Reserve.

Old Colls Premier Grade coach Alex Robokobaro told RUSA: “We knew what we were in for against Brighton and it’s hard to shift momentum when you’re 17-0 down but I’m really stoked with how our boys stayed in the fight."

In the Women's Competition, Souths coach Emma Yates says she'll happily adopt the underdog tag ahead of Saturday's grand final clash with Woodville.

"We're chasing that three-peat and three in a row would be incredible for this group. They've worked hard and they'll be ready,' Yates said.

Full Souths preview can be found here.

Woodville assistant coach Tony Bird says: "We are pleased with the progress that we have made this season and hope to go one better than the team did in 2023 in the big dance on Saturday."

"We have had an eye on the main prize from the start of the year and have been lucky enough to win the minor premiership and the most team tries scored (the newly named Kim Evans and Lee Fata Trophies)."
