Woodville played the role of season-killers once more in Round 15, toppling Southern Suburbs on the road and out of Premier Grade finals contention.

Fresh from ending Adelaide University's hopes with last week's eight-point win, the Wasps found their sting once more with flyhalf Lindsay Adcock orchestrating a 48-27 upset at AA Bailey Reserve.

Woodville stunned the home crowd by racing out to a 22-0 half time lead before Adcock's boot kept a resurgent Bulls at bay late in the piece.

The result condemned Souths (44 points) to fifth place on the Premier Grade table regardless of next week's results with Brighton confirmed to tackle Burnside and Old Collegians to face Barossa in Week 1 of Finals at Onkaparinga.

Brighton are in pole position to take the minor premiership following Saturday's 27-23 Bob Burgess Cup win over Old Colls at Tregenza Oval.

The Tigers surged either side of halftime to run down a 16-0 deficit and outscore their hosts five tries to three, winger Tyson Daszkowski finishing with a brace.

Barossa also enjoyed a bonus-point win, this time at Tanunda with Amininiasi Vutulevu and Aminiasi Rokaci scoring doubles in a hard-fought 29-21 victory over Onkas.

In the women's competition, Woodville's party rolled on as the Wasps stung reigning premiers Souths 31-7 - stretching their unbeaten streak to 14 games - while Onkas and Burnside took maximum points from Barossa and Port Collegians respectively.

There's also been some movement in the Reserve Grade universe with Brighton's 14-game run finally ending at the hands of Old Colls, veteran Kurt McKinley proving the difference with three conversions and a penalty goal.

Finally, Onkas are set to poised to feature in Third Grade finals after downing Barossa 31-10 at Tanunda, though Souths could still sneak into fourth should the Devils fail to pinch a bonus point against Uni this weekend.
