Round 7 Wrap: Wasps claim Bill Chapman Shield over Onkas in Mental Health Round

Woodville capped a special Mental Health clash in Round 7 of RUSA action with the Wasps' Premier Grade side emerging 32-21 victors over Onkaparinga.

Donning special charity jerseys for the BreakThrough Mental Health Research Foundation, Woodville's men avenged their earlier women's loss with five tries to Onkas' three, including a brace to winger Kelevi Tuilomawai.

Lewis Adcock, Brodie Chapman and Kodai Namba also touched down for Woodville while Onkas centre Blue Tutuila shone with two tries for the visitors at Gleneagles Reserve.

In the Barossa, defending premiers Burnside left it late in a hard-fought 26-17 win over Rams with William Cardosa scoring in the 78th minute to seal a bonus point.

Meanwhile Old Collegians continued their blistering start to 2025, running out 51-point victors over Adelaide University.

Doubles to Liam McDonough and Hanno de Klerk spearheaded a 72-20 win at Waite Oval with the result extending Old Colls' lead atop the Premier Grade ladder to six competition points.

Earlier, Onkas stunned defending women's premiers Woodville on the road with Grace Fitzsimmons and Leah Chothia (two tries apiece) influential in a 40-22 win before Burnside ran riot in an 85-0 win over Barossa/Brighton.

Adelaide Uni's Lusia Raikiwasa then rounded out the women's fixtures in style, crossing for a hat-trick as her side downed Port Collegians 20-5.

Brighton remain undefeated atop the Reserve Grade ladder with seven straight wins while Burnside ground out a 22-19 victory over Barossa to keep top spot in Thirds.
