Old Collegians face a daunting month with Southern Suburbs, Burnside, and Onkaparinga in consecutive weeks – but coach Alex Rokobaro wouldn’t have it any other way.
Fresh from a 52-0 win over Port Adelaide on the road, Rokobaro says his Premier Grade outfit are excited for a four-week litmus test kicking off with Saturday’s Round 5 clash against the top-ranked Bulls.
“It was a tough one against Port - they’re always going to be physical and hit us pretty hard last week - but we were really happy with the overall performance, especially keeping them scoreless,” Rokobaro said.
“(Being 3-0) is great but you don't win grand finals in May.
“The energy around the club’s really high and we’ll need that for the next few weeks.

"Souths have had a really good run and have given us some trouble over the past few years, Burnside and Onkas are going well plus we’ve always and honestly it's great to see so many teams and new coaches going strong this year
"It'll be challenging but there’s no reason we can’t get through those games if we keep to our systems and play to our best.”
In other Round 5 Premier Grade fixtures, Brighton host Adelaide University and Burnside welcome Port, while Elizabeth’s clash with Woodville will be livestreamed from Womma Park.
Souths and Old Colls also play out a table-topping clash in Reserve Grade and the women’s competition at Tregenza Oval with Barossa’s Third Grade outfit looking to stay equal first with a road win over fourth-placed Onkas.
