Burnside’s two-point win over Southern Suburb has sparked a top-four shuffle in Coopers Premier Grade while both club’s women also fired in 15-all draw across Round 7.

Keanu Eliepa’s 80th minute penalty saw Burnside emerge 28-26 victors at Parkinson Oval and climb to third with Souths missing a chance to go five points clear atop the Premier Grade table.

Both sides scored four tries with Savenaca Ronavuso (two tries) again starring for the Bulls but it was Eliepa who stood tall when it counted.

Having missed three earlier shots at goal, the centre converted his own 65th minute try before nailing two late penalty goals to see Burnside home.

Meanwhile tries to Semesa Vuata, Shane Hunt and Alipate Vuata saw Woodville notch their first Premier Grade win of the season over Adelaide Uni (20-5) before doubles to Tyson Daszkowski and Schalk du Preez spearheaded Brighton’s 50-14 victory against Port Adelaide.

Old Collegians bucked the trend of hosts dominating Round 7 with a statement 39-12 win over Onkaparinga, headlined by hooker Nicholas Howlett (two tries), centre Lincoln Ormsby (two tries) and veteran playmaker Kurt McKinley (14 points).

In the women’s competition, Teanu Karpani’s hat-trick couldn’t quite get Souths home in a hard-fought 15-all draw with Burnside while Woodville bounced back from their Round loss with a 26-15 win over Adelaide Uni.

The Old Colls’ women also enjoyed a road win as Allanah Golding (three tries) starred in a 64-7 romp over Onkaparinga.

In Reserve Grade, Adelaide Uni downed Woodville 29-12 to bag their second win of the year while Brighton Gold claimed internal bragging rights over Brighton Black in their 40-5 Third Grade victory.
