With the endorsement from Rugby Australia, the emerging states have been able to compete on a national level.
Together with Northern Territory, Tasmania, Victorian Country as well as South Australia, games were run from the 21-24 of September with the aim of continuing each year in a new venue.

“We had players from 8 different clubs, both Premier and Division One, we had coaching staff from 3 different clubs and we all came together to play as one state.
We had passion and pride in wearing the Black Falcons jumper and that showed with our on-field performance, taking out the title of Emerging States Champions”
