Rugby Union SA is delighted to welcome Brigid Koenig as a Director for the next 2 years.
Brigid is the CEO of the Sammy D Foundation, the leading violence prevention charity in South Australia.
Prior to working with the Sammy D Foundation, Brigid has also spent time in senior management roles in the charity sector after spending 10 years in sales and marketing leadership roles in the corporate world.
In 2020 Brigid was recognised as a South Australian State Finalist in the Telstra Business Women’s Awards in the ‘For Purpose and Social Enterprise’ category for her work in the sector and 2022, she was named as one South Australia’s top young business leaders in Indaily’s 40under40.
Brigid believes sporting organisations are the microcosm of society and they provide pro social opportunities for all involved but in particular, they are a place for young people to build their protective factors. Rugby Union SA’s strategic goals align with Brigid’s values on building inclusive communities which is why she has joined the Board of Directors and looks forward to being part of the future of Rugby in South Australia.
