Bobbi Devine has a deep rooted connection to the Woodville Rugby Club, being the daughter of Steve Groom. Now as an adult, her family is also involved. "She has been an outstanding contributor to the resurgence of Woodville particularly in the junior grades." says club Life Member, Peter Brown.

Bobbi has volunteered for a number of years at Woodville, with the past 5 years spent as secretary, and previous to that was spent as a junior committee member. It was during this time as junior committee member that the Junior Academy began, and saw a large number of kids begin their rugby career with Woodies. As part of junior committee, Bobbi helped with various recruitment activities, organising events to attract new players, but also worked behind the scenes with the administration. As well as her day job, she will often be sending emails on behalf of the club well past midnight.

Her role as the "lady in the purple vest" capturing all the moments on the field is undoubtedly invaluable to the Woodville community. Through her dedication to photography and preserving memories, she ensures that every player's journey is documented and celebrated. Her social media page, "Bobbi Devine Photos," serves as a wonderful archive of the club's history and achievements, allowing players and supporters to relive the moments long after the games are over.

Providing hard copies of photos upon request demonstrates Bobbi's commitment to ensuring that players have tangible mementos of their time on the field. The annual tradition of capturing headshots and team photos further solidifies the sense of camaraderie and unity within the club, adding to the cherished memories of each season.

Taking around 2,500 photos each weekend is a testament to Bobbi's tireless efforts to capture every highlight and candid moment, ensuring that no aspect of the game goes undocumented. Her passion for photography and dedication to the Woodville Rugby Club community make her a truly valued member and an indispensable part of preserving the club's legacy.

By extending her warmth and hospitality beyond just the playing field, Bobbi helps create a sense of belonging and camaraderie that transcends mere sportsmanship. Her genuine care for the well-being and success of every participant, both within her own club and across the broader community, reflects her dedication to spreading positivity and unity.

It's clear that Bobbi's efforts play a significant role in cultivating the love and family atmosphere that characterizes Woodville Rugby Club. Her kindness, empathy, and inclusive spirit contribute immensely to the club's sense of community and make her an invaluable asset to all who have the privilege of being a part of it.
