Its the sense of community that sets us apart from other sports.

In our community, we have a collective of stories that have helped shape use - from the Ken Grayling Grandstand at Southern Suburbs to the Arthur Mallison Clubrooms at Woodville - there is a story behind them. Our Life Members and Elders are the custodians of our stories and feeling of community. We celebrate christening and birthdays, weddings and funerals at our clubs and with our clubs.

It is the community that shape our game, those sit on various committees - the Competition Advisory Committee, The Rugby Advisory Committee, Womens Advisory Committee, Junior Youth Committee and Judiciary.

The Don Smith Awards are a chance to celebrate all those that have had an impact on our community as well as the individual playing milestones.
