This is a brand-new high-performance development program designed to identify, nurture, and fast-track the next generation of talented rugby players in South Australia.

We’re now inviting players in the following age groups to submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) to attend the upcoming Academy trials:

• Under 16 Male (Born 2010 or 2011)
• Under 16/18 Female (Born 2008, 2009, 2010, or 2011)

The South Australian – Western Force Academy is your chance to step into a professional-style rugby environment and be part of a structured pathway to elite rugby. You’ll gain exposure to top coaches, professional standards, and long-term development opportunities with the Western Force.

Trials

The trials will test players across multiple areas, using the same high-performance selection methods employed in leading rugby academies around Australia and the world. You will be assessed on:

• Technical and position-specific skills
• Physical attributes and athleticism (speed, agility, endurance, strength)
• Game awareness and decision-making
• Coachability, attitude, and leadership potential
• Commitment and readiness for a high-performance environment

Players selected will earn a spot in the Academy program, which includes structured strength & conditioning, skills and tactical development, plus education in nutrition, recovery, and personal growth.
