Rugby Union South Australia (RUSA) is pleased to announce the establishment of the Western Force Academy South Australia, a major partnership with the Western Force designed to elevate rugby development across the state and create a clear pathway for local players, coaches, and referees to progress to elite levels of the game.

The new academy structure will align directly with the Western Force’s high-performance systems and processes, ensuring South Australians have access to nationally recognised training, professional-standard development environments, and direct exposure to the Western Force talent pathway.

A central component of the academy will be a jointly managed talent identification program. RUSA and the Western Force will collaborate to identify the highest-performing athletes in the state and align them with the Force Academy’s development pipeline. Identified players will be made available to the Western Force as required, ensuring seamless progression into the elite pathway.

Representatives from RUSA and the Western Force will meet on a six-monthly basis to review program quality, assess progress, and identify future development opportunities.

Expressions of Interest are now open for Assistant Coaches and Players, both male and female, born in 2008, 2009, 2010 or 2011.
