VALE David Savage AM
David was a former Board Member and Deputy President of South Australian Rugby Union from 2001-2006, as well serving as President, Secretary and Treasurer of Woodville Wasps Rugby Club. He was awarded life membership of the club in 2007 after initially joining ‘the Wasps’ back in 1992.
David never played rugby for Woodville but certainly left his mark as an Administrator.
He was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia (AM) in the Queens Birthday Honours list of 2020, for services to rugby union as well as for his work with the Lions Club.
During his later years, David was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease and passed away on the 8th of January, 2023.
