About Us

To ignite passion, build character and create an inclusive South Australian Rugby community. Following a couple of unpredictable years and in anticipation of confirmation that Australia would secure the Rugby World Cups in 2027 & 2029, it was timely in late November 2021, to reflect on our recent past and to approach our future differently.

Growing player numbers and developing our competition, underpinned by a collaborative and welcoming community, was the RUSA Boards agreed priorities.

To achieve a realistic growth target, the Board also believed all areas of our organization needed reviewing to ensure a high-performing and supportive framework was in place.

The vision of our founding members when they established our local competition in 1932 has been taken into account. Ninety years later, this Strategic Plan is looking not only towards the next five years and our 100th anniversary in a decade, but to lay secure foundations for a sustainable organisation, competition and sport well into the future.
